Date claimed by the filename

The filename appears to be manually edited since the one in OP is "1597027093780" while the one in the first reply "1597027093781", it's VERY unlikely that both images were uploaded at once in less than a millisecond therefore the filename was manually altered and doesn't represent an actual Unix timestamp. So all claims regarding the time of creation can be disregarded. Also filename randomizers are very popular on 4chan.

  • Interesting. So, the filename of this frowning version, (1597027093779) is just one millisecond before the first wholesomejak (1597027093780). It's exceedingly unlikely these images were posted one millisecond apart. The filenames are fake. The filename is from August 10th but was oddly posted for the first time on September. Then it was posted (increasing one millisecond, '80) as wholesomejak on September 27th, along with muttonchops named another millisecond away ('81). My theory is, see if this sounds realistic, the original poster of wholesomejak obtained '79 (which began being posted that month), and the poster ended up posting an edit a couple weeks later, before renaming them '80 and '81. I've posted like that before, altering a few numbers to throw off the imaginary archivechuds from my track.
Another of my discoveries is the frowning versions' original post implied by the filename (1597027093779) cannot be found at that date. No similar image was posted on 4chan on 03:38:13, August 10 2020 (desuarchive, archived.moe).
Finally as more trivia, after the original wholesomejak thread, another thread in the next day is so similar to the first that I think it was made by the creator of wholesomejak. Likely because the original thread was deleted without anyone getting to see it. The odd thing is the filenames refer to the timestamp of the first thread, if you were the creator of wholesomejak wouldn't you just repost the same files with their names from your computer?
In summary, the wholesomejak filenames seem to be simple modifications of the file that was the edits starting point and do not hold any special meaning. The starting point file seems to be randomly generated date, if we go by 4chan archives. --Cliffsend (talk) 1677970440
  • Weird theory but i vaguely remenber before the 'sharty there was another soyjak board in a 8chan type imageboard (where you can add your own board), could it have come from there? --Coal miner (talk) 13:02, 4 March 2023 (EST)
    • >soyjak board in a 8chan type imageboard I remember 9chan/soyjak, it was called the "bunker", if that rings a bell. The bunker could not have been the origin of wholesomejak because the board was only created in 2022.
