Furries are a fetish and subculture of people who are enthusiasts for animal characters with human characteristics, in particular a person who dresses up in costume as such a character or uses one as an avatar online.

Recently, as a result of many furry enthusiasts joining the website, the question has been brought up whether the community actually is sharty culture and has been a controversial point of debate (They ARE, undeniably, and anybody that claims they are not most likely came from Davecord and is obsessed). There are substantial amounts of /fur/ generals (Now spammed with cado and related to /nate/) alongside furry/pony threads sprouting up. Fursonas of many soyjak variants have been created and posted to the 'ru. Chud is believed to be a furry, but he has denied any accusations of this caliber. On the other side, there are furries who have no idea about the culture, leading to funny misunderstandings and appearances of IAS in some furry artworks.
