:Why do you need a content advisory before reading an article? gb2R.
:I would be fine with Brimstone being on the pages it is currently in, if the template didn't look so dramatic and seething. If the opposite, Template:Gem were written like that, it would be something like:
: <span style="text-shadow:0px 0px 40px #12a3ec, 0px 0px 2px #12a3ec>This page is a GEM!!!
:Ew. I think the template should simply have the image of the brimstone mineral. The current template just erases the fun ambiguity and nonsense of rating things through minerals. --Cliffsend (talk) 09:03, 24 September 2023 (EST)

I'm trying to figure out the appropriate usage for this template. I've originally intended this template to be for articles that are extremely low quality and pretty much need a complete rewrite but it turns out there aren't that many examples that come to mind. Another use I can think of is tagging pages about brimmy topics but the problem is these pages can actually be well-written. What do you think? --Tefal (talk) 12:34, 7 September 2023 (EST)

I think the best way to use this is to mark pages that will never become gems no matter how much effort is put into them --Tefal (talk) 12:56, 7 September 2023 (EST)
I like the way it turned out so far. Concerning original intent, we have Template:Delete for really shitty articles, so it would've been redundant.
>but the problem is these pages can actually be well-written.
Yeah but the topic is brimstone. I believe marking all the sulphuric topics as brim is funny and useful, especially in the long term. Maybe, if there's a gem about a brim, someone could add both the gem and brimstone template. They could even make a brimerald template if they're autistic enough. --SprokemowerMan (talk) 17:43, 7 September 2023 (EST)

dropped some new images, thoughts?

i really like this template, gem

change the word brimstone to redtext as well? more dramatic imo

I would be fine with Brimstone being on the pages it is currently in, if the template didn't look so dramatic and seething. If the opposite, Template:Gem were written like that, it would be something like:
This page is a GEM!!!
Ew. I think the template should simply have the image of the brimstone mineral. The current template just erases the fun ambiguity and nonsense of rating things through minerals. --Cliffsend (talk) 09:03, 24 September 2023 (EST)
