List of changes that will improve the Sharty in my opinion:
- A rich text editor in the post form, like a BBCode forum.
- Better anti-bot technology.
- Every subculture gets a sub-board of /soy/. For example, /soy/neutral would be for blogposting and neutralpliers. Each sub-board is automatically merged into /soy/, but users can decide which sub-boards they want to see. When you submit a post to /soy/, your post will get routed by an AI classification system to the right sub-board and moved if necessary. (side-note, I actually was making a browser extension to do this. the planned list of sub-boards/filters were "Flart", "Cobson", "NAS", "Neutralplier", "Frog", "Anime", "Blogposts", "BBC", "Chud", "Self-inserting")
- An NSFW filter must be implemented but it should be able to be disabled client-side.
- Other boards must start being used and mods should move threads there aggressively.
- Admins must no longer namefag.
- Vichan must be replaced with software that allows for this, most likely custom made as it needs to look identical.
- Moderation should become automated and the rules should be set for this (they should be more relaxed). Rules will become more unnecessary when every user can customize their experience (see change number 3).
- Monetization is evil and should NOT be considered. Ads, merch, etc.
- Community projects like FNAC should be encouraged.
- Booru moderation should be fully automated with an automated tagging system. There is no reason to have human approvers.
- Mobile app. Fork Mimi.
- Manager elections should be held, and they get to decide the rules for their term.
- Disable IPv6 via Cloudflare. It only serves to enable ban evaders.
- /soy/ should consider becoming SFW only.
