The '''baby bot''' is a bot who on April 28th of 2023 started mass replying to threads with a heavily compressed image of a baby [[Guinness World Record Soyjak|Gapejak]], the filename of which was randomised. It started out posting "first", "second", "third" or "baby" as the caption, and soon incorporated special characters to evade post filters, but eventually had to post without caption as this was even harder to detect. The flood of automated baby soyjak posts led not only to this 'jak's rise in popularity, but also concerns over mass removal of VPN nodes as they got banned after usage for baby spam.

However, if the original post had the word "second" in it, it would respond with "first." If both "first" and "second" included in the original post, the bot would just post the image with no text. Later on, likely due to mods attempting to ban the bot, it started posting wïth ćhårāçtėrš to evade post filters.
