Revision as of 10:27, 22 November 2022
From a cursory search looks like the glitch is caused by Soot using -coalesce and -deconstruct to resize images into thumbnails in Imagemagick.
- https://github.com/ImageMagick/ImageMagick/issues/3545
- https://imagemagick.org/Usage/bugs/animation_bgnd/ (I should test these old versions. Vichan is old, whileI don't know how PHP package management works, is it possible that Soot updated to a new (old) version and the gifs broke because of that rather than using a wrong command?)
I couldn't replicate it faithfully in the current version of Imagemagick, though.
magick convert shantae.gif -coalesce -resize 181x255 -deconstruct bad.gif
