Space Station 14 (SS14) is an open-source roleplaying video game where you are on a space station and bad things happen to it. Space Station 14 is a remake of Space Station 13. On September 30, 2022, a soyteen requested that a SS14 server be hosted for the sharty.[1] His wish was fufuilled just 2 days later, on October 2, 2022. Beloved by everyone (including chuds but also sadly by trannies too), the Soy Station 14 server is hosted on Space Station 14, a fun for the whole family activity to rival Minecraft and Jackbox. As of October 24, 2022, the Soy Station 14 server no longer exists, having been replaced by Soy Station 13 instead. And as of November 27, 2022, Soy Station 13, likewise, is no more.

Unlike Space Station 13, SS14 is coded in C#, whereas SS13 is coded in DreamMaker.

Soy Station 14

Soy Station 14 (ss14://pp13.space:1212) is the official soyjak.party Space Station 14 server. So far, it is a lightly-modified Wizard's Den codebase. The server has had up to ~10 players, but is usually closer to 1-2 players at any given moment. Soyteens have discussed adding a multitude of soy-themed features to make a soyjak codebase, but so far the only code snippet produced was a virus that turns people into soyboys.[2] Features discussed include making a soyjak/colorjak race, adding an evilson antagonist, and making sprites invert after saying though. Too few coders exist in the soyteen population to make any of these requests.

The wiki is here. Since Soy Station 14 is barely modified code, it should apply here.

The rules are as follows:

Rules

Global Rules:

- You need to be at least 18 years of age to participate in this community.

Matrix Chatroom Rules:

- Don't spam too much - Do not post NSFW or an*me - Etc - If we all collectively refuse to believe in women, they cease to exist

SS13 Server Rules:

- Don't take non-valid players out of the round for no good reason.

Taking them out of the round means killing them, critting them, giving them a crippling disability or illness, walling/locking them in with no way out, etc.

Feel free to do such things in self defense within reason, or to valid players however you please.

- Players who are valid have no admin protection and may be freely killed. They are players who:

- Are confirmed antagonists
- Play non-human races. Special case is catpeople - in addition to being valid, they are not allowed to damage anyone.
- Blast various known and unknown texts/copypastas over the station radio/announcements
- Engage in ERP

- Metagrudging is allowed if the original cause is reasonable enough. If you don't want to get metagrudged, either use a random name or do not make a lot of people angry.

- Don't intentionally destroy the station too much. IEDs, smashing things, the occasional welderbomb etc. are OK but don't bomb a whole department and expect not to get catbanned. Accidents are fine within reason..

- If you're borg/AI, follow your laws, simple as.

- No IC in OOC, no metacommunicating, don't crash/DDOS/hack/burn/steal/rob the server. No cheating!

- What is not forbidden is allowed.

- You will never be a woman.

Space Station 13

Space Station 13 (SS13) is an open-source tile based autist role-playing video game originally created in 2003 by Exadv1, but is now collectively developed by the trans queer community. It runs on the BYOND freeware game engine, which itself was made sometime in 1996. SS13 dwarfs the other shitty Dragon Ball roleplay games on BYOND by thousands of players, and BYOND would have likely died sometime in 2014 if it were not for SS13 singlehandedly keeping the entire platform alive. Soy Station was planned to be hosted on SS13, but SS14 was chosen instead due to its ability to be run on more platforms and ease to set up.

Notable servers:

/vg/station - The /ss13/g official server that tries to preserve their 4chan culture in a sea of trooned out servers. Not listed on the BYOND hub, because /vg/ is le epic oldfag gated community like that.

Paradise Station - ACK! Notably, the first server mentioned when trying to backpedal soyteens out of hosting a SS13 server, due to its unusually high tranny and furry content. Also has a surprisingly large Russian language spinoff server.

Goonstation - One of the first codebases following Space Station 13 becoming open source, originally being populated with users from Something Awful (goons.) Like /tg/station, the server has nothing to do with SomethingAwful and is probably the second most trooned out of them all. Released r4407 in 2010, which is what the majority of other servers are based on.

/tg/station - Shorty after the release of r4407, 4chan's /tg/ made their own server. /tg/station has since disassociated from 4chan on everything but name, making it as far as it gets from a 4chan server. Known to engage in questionable codebase changes and nerfs.

CM-SS13 - A heavily modified codebase based on Aliens: Colonial Marines. Abandons the usual space-station gameplay for a more action shooter roleplay experience.

S.P.L.U.R.T - Literal fucking furry ERP server. By the way, this is one of the first things a new player will see on the BYOND server hub, due to its apparent popularity for some reason.
