Soytan

Fanart featuring Soytan

Soytan, also known as Soy-tan or Soi-tan, is the official mascot of soyjak.party, and is featured in comics, fanart and other content. Soy-tan was firstly seen in september of 2020, Soy-tan was created by a brazilian in which made most of the art of the character.

Design

Soytan has long black hair. It wears over-the-top stereotypical "nerdy girl" glasses as well as "nerdy" clothing. It is often depicted as participating in /soy/ activities such as playing Nintendo switch.

Interpretation

Although Soytan is often assumed to be intended as a female version of Soyjak, it's much more likely that Soytan is supposed to be Soot's genderswapped depiction of himself. This explains why Soytan bears such a striking resemblence to Soot; both have long black hair, both are "nerdy," and they both wear glasses. When Soot created Soytan, she was trying to participate in the imageboard oldtranny tradition of depicting the site's admins as kawaii anime girls. Both Kuz and Moot are known to have done this also, and both of them eventually came to realize how cringe it was. This also makes sense considering that Soot was inspired by Moot to create The Sharty (the alias "Soot" is an homage to Moot.)

Status as tranime

Because soytan is a female kawaii mascot with Japanese inspiration, soyjak experts consider it to be tranime. Leading soyjakers agree that only reason soytan hasn't been forgotten is because Soot foolishly decided to feature it in the sticky on /soy/. If the /soy/ sticky did not exist, the soytan meme would have been rightfully entombed in the depths of failed /s4s/ garbage nigger memes. In summary, soytan is coal because it is:

• Redundant (soyjak itself is already the Sharty mascot.)
• Poorly drawn.
• Tranime.
• Nas (because tranime.)
• Cringe (because it is Soot's gender swapped self-insert character.)

Also because of her refusal to delete the board /a/, soyjak historians have taken the existence of soytan as evidence that Soot is a tranny.
