In late 2003, a teenager named Christopher Poole founded 4chan.org and chose the admin handle "Moot" because...[He just felt like it, okay?] This name was synonymous with internet admin worship (beside from Lowtax from SomethingAwful) for nearly two decades. It wasn't until a bored shitposter founded Soyjak.party and choose the name Soot in 2020.
