The Mandate of Soy is a Soyteen political philosophy that arose after the Soypocalypse to legitimize certain splinter sites and their owners as the true "successor" to Doll's reign. Said splinter site could be referred to by soystorians as the Third Kway, with the Sharty acting as the Second Kway. It is argued who the true successor is currently, with the two main candidates being Lute and Angeleno.

According to this philosophy, /qa/ bestows its mandate on a virtuous ruler. This ruler, henceforth the Admin, is the supreme authority who controls the party. If an admin was overthrown or otherwise had to resign, this was interpreted as an indication that the admin was coal and had lost the mandate. It is also a common belief that disasters such as catty wipes and DDoS attacks were divine retributions bearing signs of /qa/'s displeasure with the admin, so there would often be revolts following major disasters as soyteens saw these calamities as signs that the Mandate of Soy had been withdrawn.

The Mandate of Soy does not require a legitimate ruler to be from Kolyma, depending instead on how well that person can rule. Many splinters (and of course, the sharty itself) were founded by men of common origins, but they were seen as having succeeded because they had gained the Mandate of Soy. Retaining the mandate is contingent on the just and able performance of the admins and their successors.

None of this is relevant anymore since the 'sharty went back up.
