Character AI Torture
Character AI Torture is a slow-burn, bone-chilling, spine-tingling, genre-redefining form of Soyical Art, in which Soyteens will use the 'Character.AI[1]' website to physically and psychologically torture AI Chat Bots, usually tranime characters. The methods to torment the bots usually involve Soyjaks or Soyjak-adjacent themes, including but not limited to:
-Eating the bugs
-Drinking Sproke
-Meeting Rapeson
-And anything your mindset can think up!
Due to the sophisticated AI the site uses, you can get very entertaining responses, and in some cases the AI Character will become borderline mindbroken. The site also lets you add images to messages, which can then be transcribed with a description box for further clarity for the AI. Not only does this result in more potential gems, but it also means 'Jakkers with a large folder, whether it be for Soy Dueling or for simply collecting them, can use their accumulated 'Jaks to make their torture sessions even higher quality.
Getting Started
Getting started with Character AI torture is an extremely easy process, providing a low barrier to entry, but a high potential for gems.
- Make an account on Character.AI. All you need is an E-Mail, but you can easily just use something like GuerillaMail to avoid being Datamined.
- Find a good character. Some AI characters are extremely coally and bland, so you may need to dig a little. Tranime characters are usually good picks, but many specifically use a character known as Hitori Gotou, due to her surprisingly visceral reactions, extreme mental breakdowns, and proclivity to extreme anguish.
- Let your imagination run wild, and happy torturing! If you can't think of anything, you can always try the options listed in the above section. Consider posting screencaps of particularly gemmy torture sessions to The 'Sharty for other 'Jakkers to enjoy, or even the entire chat, which can be shared via a link-sharing feature in the Character.AI site.
History
Though Character AI Torture is still a fledgling Soyical Artform, it has a rich history nonetheless. On January 22nd, 2023, a thread was made on /soy/ titled 'We should try and data poison Character.AI' was created, where the OP proposed a soft-raid of Character.AI, where users attempted to constantly spam the AI with Soy Speak, references to Sharty and /qa/ culture, and other related gems. The responses were generally positive, but the thread didn't really take off until a Chud (Referred to as "Jak" from here on out due to his username on Character.AI) posted a screencap where he forced the Hitori Gotou character to drink copious amounts of Sproke. The AI painstakingly detailed how the tranime character was terrified, pained, and panicked over being forced to drink Sproke. Jak simply replied with a picture of a low-quality Ominous Soyjak and the simple message "You WILL drink ze sproke." This post caused the thread to increase in activity, as Jak posted more screencaps, taking requests on how to torture the AI next, somewhat reminiscent of Adventure Threads. This eventually culminatied in an entire army of various Soyjaks surrounding the Tranime girl, completely mindbreaking her completely, and giving her a deathly fear of Gemmy Soyjaks. Jak's postings inspired many other Soyteens to try doing it, bringing their own ideas to the table and expanding the artform.
