The Day the 'log Bled
On April 19th, 2024, /soy/'s catalog was flooded with red Cobsons and Neutralpleirs in responce to Root's inaction toward racebait. This event has been dubbed, "The Day the 'log Bled".
Prelude
In late April, some 'teens believed that /soy/ was developing a race bait problem, specifically pointing to spadeson or other 'cord memes. As a result, several teens went to /q/ asking Root to sweep up /soy/. In one thread, Root responded by telling the 'teen that /soy/ should just tolerate it and not be baited. [1] This was not taken well, and 'teens took the conversation to /soy/. In one thread, a 'teen suggested that in protest, they post red Cobsons.[2]
Conflict
Quickly, dozens of red Cobson's were made and flooded the 'log. The "protestors" took on the name "The Red 'Sons" and demanded Root ban spadeson. It is estimated that there was anywhere between 2-10 Red 'Sons[3]. At the same time a thread was made demanding that if it made it to 1000 posts by the end of April 19th, racebait and spadeson will be permabanned.[4] In retaliation, pro-spadeson 'teens countered the Red Son's with sages and bombarded the 1000 post thread with tranime and spadeson. Despite claims of these 'teens being from the 'cord, there is no concrete proof of this.[5] About halfway through the protest, pro-TND neutral posters (DNB pliers) joined the Red 'Sons and spammed the 'log with red neutralpliers. After 3 hours of posting and 3/4s of /soy/ red, the Red 'Sons ended their protest with the 1000 post thread reaching its mark. Despite this, the DNB pliers continued their posting, causing the Red 'Sons to neither condone or denounce their faction.[6] Root has yet to respond to these events, meaning the conflict is ongoing. This page will be updated as soon as possible.

This event is ongoing and has not reached a conclusion.
Blue 'Sons
About 7 hours before The Red 'Sons took action, another group (or single 'teen) posted blue Cobsons in protest of spadeson.[7] No connections have been made to link the two movements at the moment. Expert soientist from the SSA are currently looking into this mystery.
