Namefags

Namefag is a term used to refer to users of imageboards such as 4chan and the 'party who have decided to ignore the default anonymity of the site by giving themselves a name or another distinguishing characteristic. Users who post images of the same fictional character (it could be from anything a videogame, anime, movie, show, book, etc) regardless of content are known as Avatarfags, while users who have unique tripcodes are known as Tripfags.

Namefaggotry and tripfaggotry is enabled by most imageboards, but the feature is widely disliked by the users because of how rife it is among trannies and attention-deprived losers, and because it's not permitted by the fucking oldchad culture. As a mechanic, posters can start a name/trip by entering one into the appropriate field in the reply form.

Tripfags

Tripfags are a subset of namefags who use unique password-hashed tripcodes so as to prevent impersonation by everyone without the password.

Vanity Tripfags

Despite being devised as a secure cryptographic signature, some based retards use custom tripcode generators such as Meriken's Tripcode Engine to fish for a custom trip that spells their name or whatever sequence of characters they're willing to spend enough computational power on. Cool I guess?

Stalking

/sp/ tripfag UTV (!MjaFqpDkME) was advised to change his name and flee the country after a mentally-ill gigachad stalker posted a massive diary and fanfic-infodump about him. Indeed, he stopped posting immediately after and has never been heard from since.

Attaching a unique identifier to your every post is like publicly datamining yourself and is a good way to get stalked by schizos, but maybe that's the goal. Indeed, some tripfags seem to wish that they would be stalked.

• - HMS Manifestor of Dreams - A metaphoric/symbolic name for the relationship he has formed with his girlfriend, the main person that created this name/callsign and actively uses it is former Xbox 360 player Knight 647. The Last Day Reach player most notably famous for being the main inheritor on the legacy reach servers in standard gamemodes such as Team Slayer, Big Team Battle, Invasion, and Rumble Pit. Finishing with a staggeringly high 98% total commendation completion, over 500 000 confirmed kills against other players online with a K/D ratio of slightly over 2 with over 100 000 confirmed assists, and having a total credit count of 146 million cR (over 7 Inheritor accounts worth of XP) he is one of the largest and most famous Legacy Reach players to ever exist, being a proud westerner from Canada and donning a bright Red and Yellow shield coat of arms emblem depicting a Golden Lion with a red backround, symbolically referencing his ancestral homelands of New Brunswick and, before that, Normandy/Lorraine. Despite insanely high stats and assuming he would be a fat incel, he is a tall and slim man that is very well built, porportioned, with an attractive classic German face complete with cheekbones and an impressive jawline as well as his signature almond shaped Norman green eyes complete with a traditional short haircut. His girlfriend, most commonly known by her discord name Halfpint420, is basically exactly his age and as equally physically stunning as her despite being a short petite girl but however still having very impressive curves, a slim petite tight body, sparkling blue eyes, and hypnotizing long hair. Essentially "the female version of Knight 647", and being classified as being just as big of a lone wolf outcast and opinionated edgelord as her boyfriend, making this an incredible pair when together. Halfpint420 herself is known as being somewhat of a mascot to defend against anti-white racism, showing the board and the world how loyal and fiercely in love traditional white women are to their white partners. Knight is also very often referred to by his notorious discord name, Jase Clifford. Specifically Knight/Jase has a major problem with anti-white racism which has led him to attack many posts made by "bbcposters" which went on for so much time they started making threads about Knight with LARPs pertaining his image, trying to impersonate him which has now led him to heavily namefag and also combine his new namefagging with using specific memes as his signature, such as cartoon characters from older more obscure adult cartoons such as Stuart Dooley from King of The Hill or Red X from Teen Titans 2003. Knight is also an "ascended meme god" in his own right, being a /b/ user off and on since 2015 since he was in high school and having a lot of time to watch the board and learn how to post properly and how threads work and is extremely skilled and well versed in memetics, using memes, images, gifs, and web links to help drive his point home with whatever he types out and can be used in a wide variety of different ways, from bumping up his allies or people he agrees with to images meant to incite a sage, Knight has something in his folder for any situation, but his most common form of memetic move is referential and/or nostalgic images/themes. Halfpint420 has also been officially credited and confirmed via posted screenshots to insult and deter troublesome bbcposting racist trolls that added her to try and destroy the relationship with a nude leak, a nude leak the couple handled extremely well due to both of them having basically no families or careers anyways and living mostly online lives and the fact that Knight and Halfpint are both objectively extremely attractive so they feel both proud to be seen in the images and all of the leaked nudes are very vanilla in content and contain nothing embarrassing, disturbing, humiliating, or degrading. The main famous full frontal nude of Halfpint420 in Knight's room wearing her high leg socks with the attached thigh clamps contains a large, confident grin on her face. The character assassination attempts via LARP threads about this couple have all failed miserably and it's widely known fact that Knight and Halfpint have extremely high sexual, emotional, and intellectual chemistry. Both Knight and Halfpint also have visible youtube channels that have pfp's that match nearly exactly with their discord pfp's for maximum internet notoriety and easily identifiable. Their channels being Hugh Mungus and Cheyepie420, they excell at being youtube playlist masters and they have each other's favorite songs in their playlists for maximum synchronization. Jase Clifford's Roblox Pizza Place house front porch also has a text sign at the front door along with banners of both his avatar and Halfpint's, and it reads "The cutest Y2K couple to ever exist."
