Operation Soyclipse was a planned raid attempt on 4chan conducted by the geniuses of soyjak.party few days after deletion of /qa/ as part of Operation Clean Stable. The idea was formed on November 5th 2021,[1] and was planned to take place on November 10th 2021 1:50 PM EST.[1] This raid was the first major raid operation on soyjak.party.[2]

Background

Before deletion of /qa/, soyjack.party was a relatively small site with a small community.[2] The deletion of /qa/ brought in many posters who had nowhere to go, though no changes in the general content posted to the site were observed due to similarities between both communities, and the fact that most soyjak.party users were also /qa/ regulars.[2]

The heroic soyjakers were outraged over the sudden deletion of /qa/, and tried to restore it in peaceful ways initially, there were negotiations with jannies over IRC,[3] while some went as far as apologizing to /lgbt/ in the most humiliating way just to have a touch of their beloved board.[4][5] Similar to how the Nazis wished they never burned le innocent kikerinos during the siege of Berlin, the people over at /qa/ wished they never raided /lgbt/. But the damage was done, the lost Jewish lives are long gone, and sleepless night the transfolx of /lgbt/ had while crying in their pillows after noticing the similarities between their faces and the ugly hateful tranny caricatures posted by Wojackers.

After all peaceful options were exhausted, a more violent option had to be taken for Soyjak rights on 4chan to be restored.

The Great Soyclipse

On November 5th, 2021, A thread titled "Operation: Soyclipse" was created,[1] it aspired to be "The biggest raid that is about to hit 4chan", and intended to target /lgbt/, /bant/, /a/, and /v/ all at once.[1] The thread received lots of praise, and was the first soyjack.party thread to surpass 1,000 replies.[6] Many people had high hopes in the raid, and considered it the last hope, and one user went as far as saying:[7]

“ this raid is the last hope. if it fails, soyjacking is dead. the admin here should just shut down this website, shut down the soybooru, personally i would be done with soyjacking, and im a long time 'jakker. ”


The catalog as sighted after the failure of the operation, both threads were stickied at that time.

The news of the raid spread all over the internet, and it had time to do so, as the raid was planned 5 days from then as the maker of the thread had arbitrarily set it.[8][9] In less than a day the raid was far along in planning, with new scripts, methods, and proxies already being discussed and shared in the thread.[10][11] People also shared images of botched axewounds[a] to jerk off to shock the trannies with.[12]

A second, final thread was made on the day of the raid.[13] Everyone and their proxy was ready to raid, and as the clock ticked... nothing happened... upload failed...[14] People were getting permanently banned left and right within milliseconds.[15] The jannies had ratelimited new threads to counter the incoming spam temporarily, and that worked in their favor. The loss was very devastating for 'teens, they who were unable to cope with losing /qa/, had to withstand another embarrassing failure. People called for Soot to remove the threads,[16] but the mods decided to sticky them instead, pinning their embarrassing failure for weeks to come.[17] Many felt betrayed by this move, and the fact that the place they took refuge in has turned against them, and as a result, they left soyjack.party for other places. Many of the posters who stayed on the site denied this event ever took place, or disguised it as a Discord falseflag that they didn't take part in.[18] The reputation of Dr. Soystein was also tarnished, and no one wanted to associate with him thanks to the raid.

Reasons for failure

Many resoyrchers looked into the case of the raid and the reasons behind its failure, most agree that raids should be sudden and not planned ahead of time, since the janitors had more than enough time to prepare themselves ahead of the time. The raid also had unrealistic goals, attempting to raid 4 major 4chan boards all at once. This was the first major failraid of the 'arty, and helped 'teens learn what to avoid in future raids for a greater chance of success.
