The Great Purge, also known as Operation Unthinkable is an event that started on 3rd of September where Froot decided to indiscriminately ban anyone who posted on certain 50 board plan boards. The ban orders were as follows:
- /fur/ -- posters were banned for some time;[I don't know for how long]
- /dawla/ -- posters were banned for a whole day;
- /mlp/ -- posters were banned permanently.
This decidion came under heavy criticism from the (unbanned) portion of soy community.
- None of the banned posters broke any established rules
- Therefore banning them actually goes against the rules for jannies/mods;[1]
- A portion of banned users weren't even the intended ban targets;
- This sets a precedent that anyone can get banned anytime for any reason.
