Apostrophisation
English Soy Speak
[syllable 1] [syllable 2] '[syllable 2]
[syllable 1] [syllable 2] [syllable 3] '[syllable 2] [syllable 3]
[syllable 1] [syllable 2] [syllable 3] '[syllable 3]

The above table shows the general rules for apostrophising multisyllable nouns in soy speak. While not every noun should be apostrophised in such a manner, any noun with multiple syllables can be abbreviated within Soy Speak using this method. Simply, Soy Speak allows any number of syllables in a noun before the final syllable to be replaced with a " '." For example, Cobson becomes 'son. In some cases, single syllable words like "gem" can be apostrophised in a similar manner but rather than replacing a syllable, only the first letter is replaced. The reason for why this happens stems to bypassing certain words and avoiding persecution from jannies, fittingly, this rule is scientifically called "Janny's law." Nowadays, this feature still exists in Soy Speak, despite there not being much persecution.

Usually, only the first syllable will get removed, which will then happen over and over again to bypass the filters put by jannies. Although there are some examples, like the word "Ongezellig." Ongezellig was first apostrophised as "'zellig," even though logically it should have been "'gezellig." There is dispute as to why this happened, but it is suspected that it is because gezellig doesn't sound very appealing to the ears.

U to V Rule
English Soy Speak
Chud Chvd

Sometimes the letter "u" is replaced with "v". This is a reference to old roman writing, that didn't feature the letter "U" and instead used "V" in place of it, this probally didn't originate in the 'sharty but in right wing twitter.
