The Great Purge, also known as Operation Unthinkable is an event that started on 3rd of September where Froot decided to indiscriminately ban ‘nish anyone who posted on certain 50 board plan boards. The ‘nish orders were as follows:
- /fur/ -- posters were ‘nished permanently;[it just is, ok?]
- /dawla/ -- posters were ‘nished for a whole day;
- /mlp/ -- posters were ‘nished permanently.
This decision came under heavy criticism from the (unnished) portion of soy community.
- None of the ‘nished posters broke any established rules
- Therefore ’nishing them actually goes against the rules for jannies/mods;[1] (>🤓)
- A portion of ’nished users weren't even the intended ‘nish targets;
- PPH on /soy/ had noticeably dropped;[it just is, ok?]
- Shortly after the ‘nish waves, the 'log became more coally than usual during Euro Hours
- This sets a precedent that anyone can get ’nished anytime for any reason.
- Discourages posting in any of the other FOTM boards, solidifying their deadness
Just in, the ‘nishes seem to be getting appealed.
URGENT: THE FIRST THREAD THAT ESTABLISHED THE CULT OF CHOOD WAS DELETED, DELIBERATELY.
The event will end if all 3 boards were deleted.
