A large variety of unique slang is frequently used on the party and in the wider community, which often confuses lurkers, new users, and people being raided.

"Good" and "bad" slang

In the beginning, there was only gem. Then came coal as the opposite of gem. From there, countless derivatives have evolved and spun off from the mainline gem-coal spectrum. Kuz supporters and some soyentists claim kuz has credit for starting the trend of alternative rating systems, but this claim is disputed^{[it just is, ok?]}.

gem: A high-effort and high-quality post.
gemerald: Word combo meaning higher than a gem (apparently a Futurama reference ^[1]?!)
coal: A low-effort and low-quality post.
Grades of coal

Coke: Describes coal that has been bettered and improved upon, thereby becoming more "useful" and closer to gem. Yes, coal can become gems. Click here to read more. Anthracite: High-quality coal; Bituminous: Equal to regular coal; Lignite: In-between coal and dust, higher than peat; Peat: In-between coal and dust, lower than lignite; Graphite: In-between carbon and coal.

carbon: The neutral in-between gem and coal, since both are made of carbon. Equal to iron.
cem/gel/geal/goal/coam/coem: Word combo meaning in-between gem and coal.
coalerald: could mean lower than coal, but higher from dust, or a very coalish gemerald. See "Attributives".
dust: Lower than coal. Soulless and forced.
steel: In-between gem and coal but higher than iron (think "cem")
iron: In-between gem and coal but higher than rust (think "geal")
rust: In-between gem and coal but lower than iron (think "coam")
detritus: Slightly below dust.
brimstone: Lower than even dust. Unspeakable. Usually NAS.
pewds/pewdiepie: Bandkid Coal.
tseries: Pajeet Gem.
margerald: A post so confusing that it collapses into a nonsense gem.
diamond: Higher than even gemerald. Magnificent. Usually IAS.
tanzanite/'sharty-saving gem/diamonderald/oganesson: The highest possible post category. A gem so good that it has the potential to end all drama in the 'sharty and return it to the golden age
ketchup: Gem.
jewelry/jewel: Jewish gem.
mustard: Coal.
cheese: Diamond (Note: this word has a different meaning outside of "good" and "bad" slang)
ham: Gemerald.
jam: Gem.
clotted cream ("clot"): In-between gem and coal but lower than iron (think "goal")
butter: Coal.
peanut butter ("nutter"): Dust.
margarine: Brimstone.
Margerine: Marge + margarine.
ruby: In-between gem and coal but higher than iron.
gravestone: Brimstone with gem qualities, worse than grimstone
grimstone: Brimstone with gem qualities, better than gravestone
dirt: Soulful dust.
garbage/rubbish: Worse than dust but higher than brimstone.
poison/antimatter/'sharty-destroying coal/'sharty-shattering brimstone: The lowest possible post category. Coal so bad that it has the potential to close the 'party down forever. Usually child porn, trangezellig, webdriver torso, or unusually bad drama. This is also Poopson
Niggerstone: Brimstone only niggers can enjoy
Ash: Iron/carbon (however leaning to dust) which is used to describe posts wherein oldtroons complain about newGODS.^{(Everyone says this)}

Sperry: A brand of boat shoes. ^[Marge…]

Attributives

These can be added to any slang to describe a post more thoroughly. Attributives are uncommon on the party but are sometimes used. For example, a "coalish gem" would describe a post that is a gem with some coal qualities. Note that the line between attributives and prefixes when applied to slang are blurred, for example word combinations such as "coalerald" are not attributives despite using coal as a prefix and meaning the same thing as "coalish emerald" because attributives don't use prefixes. In addition, some Acronyms such as NAS, IAS, or TAS can be used as attributives, for example a "NAS gem" would be a post that is not a soyjak but is still a gem anyways.

Gemmish/Gemmy: Describing a post with some gem qualities.
Coalish/Coally: Describing a post with some coal qualities.
Rubyish: Describing a post with some ruby qualities.
Ironish: Describing a post with some iron qualities.
Dusty: Describing a post with some dust qualities.
Rusty: Describing a post with some rust qualities.
Gemeraldic: Describing a post with some gemerald qualities.
Diamondic: Describing a post with some diamond qualities.
Dirty: Describing a post with some dirt qualities.
Trashy: Describing a post with some garbage qualities.
Hellish/Brimmy: Describing a post with some brimstone qualities, alternatively "macabre" in reference to gravestone.
Cemmy/Goally/Geally/Coelly/Coammy etc.: Describing a post with both gemmy and coally qualities (also cemmy is sometimes used by animation meme trannies for some reason)^{[it just is, ok?]}

Suffixes

Suffixes can be applied to nearly any word to create their soy speak variant.

-jak: Denotes an object as being a soyjak or soyjak variant. (feraljak, fruitjak, colorjak, etc.) Also found in "Say the line, X-jak" memes, despite the subjects of those memes rarely being soyjaks.
-rald/-erald: Derived from gemerald. Used to denote a noun/verb or even adjective as having gemmy qualities (e.g. "Faucirald"), including new words in the gem/coal tier list ranking continuum (e.g. "dusterald"). Also implies an element of irony and humor, eg. "Failerald".
-stone: Derived from Brimstone. Used to denote a noun/verb or adjective as having brimmy qualities (e.g. "Niggerstone"), including new words in the gem/coal tier list continuum (e.g. "Grimstone)
-erino/arino/-ino: Diminutive/endearing suffix, usually used in the context of overexcited or seething soyjaks. Derived from doggospeak;^[2] of which unironic soyboys are known to use, or possibly an old twitch meme.^[3]

Miscellaneous

Trvthnvke, trvthnuke, trvke: Similar to TSMT. Meant to convey that a post is correct, usually with the implication that others aren’t willing to accept its factuality (and vvill seethe as a result)
4cuck: Generic insult for 4chan
Turbo, aryan, nigger, vantablack, toss: Prefixes used to amplify any slang they are applied to (e.x. turbogem)
'toss: A contraction of the name of the viral political comic Stonetoss, the word's use extends to refer to any comic or graphic with a controversial nature, or even any image that contains elements to be read in sequence. By accident, 'toss exemplifies the essence of comics that the book Understanding Comics sought to formalize,^[4] more than the plain word comic does.
Kino: Used to describe something that is great, fantastic, or otherwise fantastic. From 4chan's /tv/.
Marge: Used to express confusion. It's also Leebait.
Bumo: Used to signify that a poster is bumping a thread:
N'oss / Noss: A variant of 'toss meaning "new 'toss" ie "new stonetoss comic", the ' is a glottal stop (think african clicking language)
Skloing ^{(Everyone says this)}: (transitive verb, of trannies) The act of ruining a community by making it tranny-infested
Yop ^{(Everyone says this)}: (transitive verb) To exterminate trannies from a community or to take measures in advance to prevent skloinging
[x]cord woke up: When a certain topic starts getting spammed on the catalog, used to make fun of Discord users
'cord / Der 'cord: Discord
Nusoyteen, Nusoycuck, Nusoycaca, Nusoislutta etc.: Refers to the leader of the SoyDoom Matrix server. As a term refers to new users and is often spammed by frogniggers
Jop / Jopping: A characteristic bodily movement soyjaks do when excited. Sometimes used ironically by 'jakkers to express that emotion. "Nigger, I'm 'opping like crazy right now!"
Variant unknown: An obscure, rarely-used soyjak variant, especially one that is likely to remain that way. From the SoyBooru tag for unnamed variants. ^[5]
'nished: Another word for ban. Both originate from banished.
Nulee: Refers to a poster who posts in a similar style of Lee i.e responding angrily to every post with one thing you don't like
Filed ^{(Everyone says this)}: A word used to let the poster of the image in question know that you saved it.
